The farmhouse modern charm washes over you immediately upon entering this home’s oversized open sunroom/mudroom. The dark grey and faded white star patterned tile floor mimics farmhouse, but has a new modern vibe. The shiplap wall unifies the room displaying the same grey color in the dark grey stars on the tile floor. The pantry cabinets are a soft muted off white tone and the modern floating benches between them set a modern tone. This beautiful space is finished off with a shiplap white painted ceiling complemented by an abundant amount of natural light. This altered space now provides our client with much needed mudroom, but still overall the space still functions as a relaxing sunroom that now has the style to inspire.
Moving into the kitchen, the farmhouse modern style continues with a mix of wood flooring, crisp clean white and gray cabinetry and matte black accents. The use of subway tile mimics a different era while moving towards today’s clean, modern feel. The white painted decorative wood hood stands on its own as a feature in the room and is paired with raw stained wood floating shelves. The mix of materials and textures gives the spaces a really balanced feel, while the light tones assist in making the space feel larger than it is.
Lastly, let’s move into the bathroom renovation. This bathroom renovation really delivered by giving the client’s double sinks at the vanity and a refreshed luxurious shower. The cabinetry tone stays light in tone, but has an off white vintage feel to tie into the rest of the newly renovated spaces throughout the rest of the home. The mirror and vanity light fixtures carry on the matte black look, but imitate an old raw style. The shower boasts the matte black hardware on the shower euro glass walls and doors, giving it a clean sharp look due to the contrast. Re-using the granite that is used as the vanity in the two niches and on the shower’s threshold unite the entire space together in a seamless, yet timeless way.
